Hannah Lipman Associates, Inc. (HLA) is a premier provider of full-service retained executive search and research consulting services. Established in 1991, HLA has a distinguished record of consistently delivering superior client service.   The firm’s staffing solution philosophy combines a thorough understanding of business needs and organizational culture with exceptional research and candidate development capabilities.

Central to HLA’s approach is the belief that the right staffing decisions made over time lead to a competitive advantage and better business results. Our highly-responsive consulting team is committed to consistently matching the best available talent for every position. We know that each organization, assignment, and candidate is unique – that’s why we take the time necessary to understand these differences and convert them into mutually-rewarding employment relationships.

The firm prefers to maintain a small portfolio of clients. This allows us to dive deep into client requirements, work collaboratively, and present the best slate of qualified candidates available from our clients’ competitors without a conflict of interest.

Hannah Lipman - Founder

Hannah Lipman, the firm’s founder, has over 25 years of experience in executive search consulting. She began her search career as a Research Associate at Baeder International Group, a generalist executive search firm located in New York City focused on global C-Suite Executive Search. She continued her career in search as a Senior Consultant at Napolitano and Wulster, a pharmaceutical search firm located in Cheshire, Connecticut. 

Hannah launched Hannah Lipman Associates, Inc. in 1991 to partner with clients in both unbundled research and full-service retained executive search services. Her first client was a global consulting firm in 1991, and they remained a client until 2008 when they merged with another firm. Hannah and her dedicated team placed over 150 consultants at this company over the course of 17 years. 

Another long term client was a $23B high-tech company and over 6 years, HLA placed 28 executives with them. 

In addition, over the course of 3 years, HLA worked with a private equity firm sourcing and placing C-Suite executives into their portfolio companies.

Most recently, HLA has been retained by a global non-profit company with a reach in 142 countries, to develop a strong pipeline of board member candidates. Over the past 5 years, HLA has placed 6 board members in addition to the CEO and CMO of the organization. These are just 4 examples of our firm’s long-term work with clients.

Prior to focusing on executive recruiting, Hannah was a marketing and research specialist for the radio and television industry. She holds a BA degree in Psychology with a minor in English from the University of New Hampshire.

She loves bringing people together, both socially and professionally. The integrity of the search process is of the utmost importance to Hannah and her team, which is why the firm has had so much repeat business with clients over the years.
